Melbourne Elite Diving Academy was established in 2005 by Ukrainian coaches Pavel Plotnikov and Svitlana Mykhal'chuk to further develop and promote the sport of diving in Melbourne.
Melbourne Elite Diving Academy's purpose is to:
- provide an opportunity for all who wish to learn to dive, and
- identify talented athletes and help them realize their full potential at the highest levels, including World Championships and Olympic Games.
In December 2012, on the initiative of members, Melbourne Elite Diving Academy transformed into MEDA Diving Incorporated which was formed to support and expand Melbourne Elite Diving Academy.
MEDA Diving Incorporated introduced formal diving classes into the Geelong region in mid 2015 with the establishment of a Dive School Program.
MEDA Diving Incorporated is affiliated with Diving Victoria & Diving Australia.
